we cleared the decks of shitsers a few years ago. now we appear to have a new crop of hate figures fans want turfed out. it's a placebo. just like last time, i doubt having a clear out will magically improve our recruitment policy or lack of internal improvement as a team. disillusionment will remain i'm afraid
Other Clubs transfer thread Summer 2016
What summer are you thinking of? They all merge into one big blur for me these days!
We do have a habit of adding more poor players to the squad, that much is definitely true. I'm not sure they're hate figures though, just some players that clearly aren't good enough and get too many minutes over too many seasons at Arsenal.
I agree the reinvigoration would only occur if some quality signings came in as the old players are shipped out.
when we turfed denilson, almunia, bendtner, squillaci, vela, eboue and co. it was around 12/13 from memory
That's why I said we need a new manager of course otherwise he'd replace the old shitsters with new garbage.
Wenger can't spend for shit, if we faced an exodus next summer and he had his hand forced he'd buy two injury prone bums from Ligue 1 for a bag of crisps, some English "talent" born in 2001 for 28m and Lass Diarra on a free
Then he'd say we should be thankful for playing in the CL because children are starving in Africa

i'd say walcott has become a hate figure, mainly due to his pussy-footedness and lack of desire
I'd be surprised if the general sentiment on here about Walcott is representative of the larger fan base.
West ham bid 20m for a striker in England. Believed to be benteke. Let's hope it's theo.

Maybe with some fans but Theo is still well liked by a lot of other fans to balance it out - tends to be a bit like Marmite.
He deserves the stick he gets though doesn't he? For exactly the sort of wimpiness you describe. Selling him and replacing his position in the squad, both in terms of the games he expects to play and the wage that he's on, with a player that has similar quality but is actually up for the fight for at least 6 months of the season, would be a big step forward. So he really is part of the problem, it's not just picking on players for the sake of it. Walcott and a number of others like him have shit attitudes that see them accept playing crap, accept dropping silly points, accept losing when you can't lose.
Yes, that stems from the manager but Γzil doesn't take it laying down, Sanchez doesn't, Wilshere doesn't - these are our big players and Walcott is supposed to be one of them, too, otherwise what's he being paid Β£140,000 a week for?
Renato sanches signs for Bayern.
Hummels also confirmed officially

Man United fans are pissed about it....they actually thought they had a chance of signing, what is supposed to be, one of the best youngsters in world football!
It's all Ed Woodward's fault apparently! It's not 2010 any more scumbags.

So him getting his knickers in a twist less than a week ago about Dortmund stating they were going to negotiate his sale because he'd told them he wanted out was a load of rubbish. What a grade A cunt of a man. Bayern are welcome to him. Slippery little snake.

Lol
This is what real clubs with a vision and plan do. They didn't allow Guardiola to hold them hostage, brought in Ancelotti, and now are executing with flawless timing.
Gazidis mentioned a while back that he would us to follow their example, well here it is Ivan.
Very jealous of their structure and ruthlessness to compete. Never complacent, always hungry and very competitive.
Bayern moved in to negotiate, and within 48 hours the contract was signed.
Snubchester United it seems.
Dortmund's statement Jesus Christ I'd consider switching clubs if I supported that pile of shit
Benfica announce a fee of a fixed 35m euros plus another 45m in incentives.
Transfer will be worth 80m euros if all clauses are met.

What is it?
"Mats Hummels has decided after long and intensive deliberations to return to his home Munich after eight years at BVB. I want to reiterate that he has been candid and honest to us at all times." and some more horseshit, this after quotes by Hummels like
I honestly believe there are no sporting reasons to leave our club. There's a great development at the club and Mario (GΓΆtze) was friends with everybody at the club, which is why I'm highly disappointed in him leaving for Bayern
I'd rather win one title with BVB than six with another certain club
If I leave Dortmund it'll be later in my career to a club in another European league
