Wondered, in real time, why Martial's weak effort went in and the keeper was nowhere to be seen. Schweinsteiger fouled the keper on replays. Shouldn't have stood.

Not to worry. Both teams play another, both are rivals for top four. West Ham will go through

Yeah, be very surprised if West Ham don't progress.

An Everton-West Ham final would be good to watch.

Payet. Payet. Payet. Fucking hell. What a freekick.

Insane free kick.

Love him. The damage he could do for us.

So is Ozil blown out then?

Apparently there were no outfield players worth pursuing last summer.

Payet should have been send off for a dive just before that but the ref bottled it.

I can't I've already switched to Leicester.

We would have gotten Crystal Palace in the semi.

If we didn't have a dog turd as a manager. :babysad:

That was a clear penalty.

Blatant penalty. Take your United tinted glasses off Biggus

There is contact on Payet, minimal, but the way he falls is unnatural and for me, it's a dive. It's a Rooney-dive, he knows the contact is coming and is already planning to leave his feet and go to ground.

The refwatch article is pretty shit though. Say what you want about Gabriel's tackle, two-footed yada yada, he clearly plays the ball. It went careening out of bounds FFS

Gabriel one was a clear red card. I don't see how you can defend that. It doesn't matter if you get the ball, especially when it's 2 footed and you look out of control.

I'd need to see it again but from memory Deeney didn't exactly paint a picture of perfect tackling technique himself.

Yeah whatever, I'm not married to this opinion.

I was half-joking Biggus, Payet's legs were flopping pretty pathetically in the air but you'll never in a million years hear me say someone should have been sent off against United.

Yeah well it's a matter of indifference to me, we're not in it anymore.

a month later

Best and worst of De Gea for United in 20 seconds. Amazing save at his near post then absolutely laughable from the resulting corner.

7 minutes to go and United are under the kosh.

Can Payet do it again? Freekick 20 yards out, perfect angle....

Sigh. They're going to win the FA Cup aren't they?

Hard to say, they could lose to anyone.

They're horribly close to the cup though.
They've got enough firepower to trouble Everton

True, but it's not a forgone conclusion. They're pretty shit, and any of the teams left in it could beat them on their day. Any of the teams left in it could beat them without being great too,United are that poor.

Maybe we took a fair bit out of West Ham on Saturday? They looked very leggy all night.

Yeah, I'm surprised at how lacklustre West Ham were, I actually thought they had the beatings of United.

Rashford looks class

Imagine if Utd play Crystal Palace in the final. 1990 all over again.

The 1990 game saved Fergie......

Great goal, but overall he looks quite Walcott-esque. His class technique with his instep lures you into thinking his overall technique is something special and it's not at all. His touch is average, as is his dribbling.

His composure is very impressive though considering he's only 18. He's also a lot stronger with his back to goal than Walcott ever has been. I wouldn't be dismissive about his game just yet, he's got a lot to prove obviously but he's done really well so far.

Maybe, but he looks a bit of a one trick pony to me.

He's no Iwobi is what you're saying?!

Rashford has better dribbling and control than Walcott.

This is already the worst season under Wenger ever. Won't be surprised to see United winning the trophy from us to add the icing on the cake.

And the 2014 game saved Wenger.
