The Ox doubt by now is surely legit - some have long said he's nothing special and way overrated.
Looking at his level now you can hardly counter that.
Yet some of us apparently still trust instincts saying he's not yet shown us the player he can be, and look for evidence a bit farther.
I think for example Campbell never played close to how Ox was playing regularly early last season. Or remember when he was still a kid
and RVP exploded on Wenger when he took him off (for Arshavin vs Utd, was it? and we lost?) kid was awesome, and it wasn't a single game either.
Are we fooled by that early promise (as maybe with Jack too)? could be. But he's still young, and the claim regular football is the only way to find out is still the right one to me (it's true in that respect that if he doesn't deliver till the end of the year it's a good idea to loan him).
Wilshere is on a different level talent wise compared to Chamberlain, but he's also linked to the reason why I want the latter gone. As Klaus said in another thread, Wilshere is very injury prone but we can afford to keep him on our books because of his immense talent, he has so much upside that you'd risk losing him for periods (although it's far from optimal either). Also when Jack is fit he usually performs to a high level, when Chamberlain is fit he shows his talent in spurts while stinking it up most of the time.
Also I think you lot are still underestimating Campbell quite a bit. He's been the focal point of a team that finished first in a group with England, Italy and Uruguay. He's had some top class games with all of Betis, Olympiakos and Villarreal, he's just now getting his first crack at his Arsenal career in his sixth or seventh club and fifth (!) league and country at 23 but somehow it's a foregone conclusion that he'll fail.
edit:
I swear I knew someone would post that dribbling vs Bayern 😆 He wasn't great by any means in my opinion, he had a couple of good scenes and a few bad, nobody was great on that day.
