I don't agree with that, but in any case, just having a good foot isn't always enough. Just ask Podolski. And his left foot was a whole lot better than Campbell's.

And he has more than just a good left foot, when he's on his game his placement and curl are near flawless

Well, he has played a few games now in succession, and that left foot of his hasn't shown very much. A few highlight clips can make even the most mediocre of players look like a world beater.

I'll say this though, that against Zagreb he looked to constantly make things happen when he got on the ball. I don't know quite how much it was down to the relatively poor opposition, but he played better for us than he has ever previously done. If he is to have any sort of chance to be an Arsenal player beyond next summer, he needs to play like that consistently.

Neither did Alexis' right before Tuesday's match. Give the lad a break ffs. New team, new league, no competitive footy in half a year, four or five consecutive starts now in which he got a very well taken goal and a top class assist and you're slating him for not showing much. If we had the same standards for everyone at the club we'd have to sell everyone.

Well, the other interpretation doesn't make sense either because it's redundant, every Arsenal fan hopes every player to be gone when they fail.

No, I hope he is gone in the summer because he isn't very good to begin with. Bloke is 23 years old and has never in his career shown anything to make anyone in their right mind think he will ever be good enough to be a starter, or even an important squad member, at Arsenal. He is absolutely pointless. Next season I'd much prefer if someone like Adelaide would get the sort of minutes Campbell is having this season. It won't be an important role, but at least it will be a guy who looks to have something about him. We need to stop clogging up the squad with mediocre players!

I feel pretty comfortable writing off Campbell too, and it's not based on whatever small amount he will or won't contribute with this season. It's more the fact that he's not worth persisting with. Welbeck is the same. Neither of them are good enough. Take whatever you can get when they absolutely have to play and forget the rest. Their presence is a nuisance.

Conversely, injuries might be dangerously close to finish Chamberlain at top level right now, but he has more talent in a fractured toe than those two do in a pair of healthy feet. Him I'd persist with for a while longer.

Proper upgrade of the squad without breaking the bank or anything would be to sell Campbell in January/summer and add Pato.

I liked this throughballs that he played cutting inside, but I doubt he is a player who will go on and contribute to the team over the long run.

Campbell has improved game to game but it's been a very slow progression so far.

Not sure to laugh or cry when I read that he is already 1/3 of Ox total tally within a month.

Yet it's Campbell who's on borrowed time.

We should get rid of Chamberlain imo, can't afford a luxury like him who might turn into a good player one day. All the talent in the world doesn't mean anything if you can't show it or keep fit in the first place.

One of them needs to go anyway. I'd see how the season plays out but right now Campbell is ahead of Ox for me.
