I'd play him for the Soton game. With him on the right and Sanchez on the left we would have good work rate ahead of both fullbacks for the first time since Coq got injured and Ramsey switched back into midfield. Play Theo, Ox, Sanchez and Campbell all as the front 4 in the cup but pull Sanchez out early. Campbell should be ok for the 2 games, his fitness has improved a lot since he started getting games.

He definitely deserves to play at least. He hasn't been as good in the last three games but then again who has.

Think Alexis and even Welbeck coming back will give a boost even to the guys who aren't playing, more time to rest and the threat of falling behind in the pecking order should hopefully push everyone to perform at a higher level.

Alexis being back is huge.
The minute he took to the pitch on Sunday the whole energy and atmosphere changed.
Nobody else in the team has that same aura, it seemed to energise those around him too, Ramsey in particular

He had 2 assists against Liverpool. Cech was MOTM but he was probably our best outfield player along with Monreal.

With Alexis back, Campbell has an additional runner to pick out and can only benefit his game.

You're right actually, great ball for Ramsey's first and had a terrific pass for what should've been a Walcott assist too.

I was probably just so pissed off about the results that I forgot about it, either that or I got caught up in the recent resurgence of the Anti Campbell Movement.

we've looked testosterone deficient without alexis and coq. both of them should up the intensity, as you say.

i'm a fan of joel, but i think wenger will drop him for welbeck eventually

Yeah but its not as good as we need to be because we are a winger short. Even if we go back to your argument that Campbell can't be compared to Sterling or DeBrunye our front line then you have to use Theo, Sanchez and Giroud vs DeBrunye, Aguero, Sterling. After that you are comparing Campbell and Ox to Nasri and Navas, both of whom would probably start for us.

And if you want to say "but Ramsey is our right winger" then we have absolutely no midfield.

We don't have a midfield. In theory, Wilshere could be a good backup for Cazorla (or the other way around), but Wilshere is always injured. Ramsey is our right winger, but he is also our backup midfielder now. I agree that we need a signing somewhere, I just don't think the difference is as big as you think it is, I guess. I can't stand Navas, think he's absolutely pointless.

Hes ok but limited on the right. Doesnt give us any width or pace. Hes far better in the centre.
