That moment (0.50s) is really amazing play from him. Would have been a great goal, his movement and calmness on the ball took 3 Liverpool defenders out of that passage of play.

that's why i'm scared to love that he's our main man up top. he's going to let us down in a big way somehow this season. and then people will say "but if he didn't score that other time we wouldn't have been in position for this spectacular failure." 🙁

In the space of 6 weeks Joel Campbell has gone from being Sanogo to being Ronaldinho in some fans eyes.

He scored two excellent goals in the game. If you get on strikers for missing sitters you're not going to have any strikers left to choose from.

He is a good player. Not average at all like has been claimed. Slots into our system well, and has adapted nicely since he got his chance. He is quite strong and comfy on the ball, intelligent too. Also combines nicely with Bells, which is a plus for our wing play.

An outstanding defensive performance by Campbell there. Some great tackels in there (particularly the one on Moreno) and just an overall great shift.

The improvement he is showing is startling.
His composure in attack is top notch and he is sending perfectly weighted Ozil-like through balls that don't require second touches.
Never thought he had that in him.

Good story on Campbell's rise at Arsenal. Didn't know his defensive prowess was down to Pepe Mel. Always thought Gourcuff had more influence in his transition.

that's one of the things i like about loans. they get to interact with different coaches and learn new things.

I was looking at Theo and Campbell closely yesterday, and oh man the difference in technique between the two was staggering, at least on the day. Campbell was so much better with his ball control, dribbling, and passing. I think Giroud, Sanchez and Campbell in front of Ozil is a decent attack for the league.

Its our best attack at the moment but its not that good at all. Compare it to City with Aguero, DeBrunye and Stlerling.

Obviously we can't afford to buy the players City do.

First of all we could have afforded a Sterling or DeBrunye level signing last summer no problem. Second of all even if you weren't wrong about that guys like Mahrez and Payet went for a pittance in comparison. Improving on Joel Campbell is not beyond our capabilities.

Improving on Joel Campbell is a priority for a club like ours who have title winning ambitions.

But then again, the biggest fault of our club is that our 4th choice right winger is performing way better than the rest of our options there. People like Walcott and Ox should hang their heads in shame.

Well thats true and TBH i dont think Ox should be in the squad next season. Eiither loan him out or give up.
