It's not great that he needs to get subbed off after 70 mins each game. I don't know if it's a stamina issue or if he just puts in too much and tires himself out.

Full of confidence now though, when Alexis is back he's keeping his spot.

"More talented" is very harsh on him in my opinion. And it's mainly because most people didn't give him a chance even before he stepped onto the pitch.

Some of the aspects he has shown in his game is more than what some of our other options can produce.

yeah i don't know how anyone can with a straight face say walcott has more talent that him. walcott is a functional player with an elite physical asset (speed) and the ability to finish sometimes. ox isn't more talented either.

I was particularly impressed by his reading of the game when he, skillfully protected the ball while waiting for the strikers to sort themselves out then picked out Theo's run with that exquisite through ball. Fantastic piece of play that, even, Ozil would have been proud of.

Probably down to stamina - but that can be worked on and is improving game by game. When he first got games he barely managed a half of football.

Tactics

He's shown his ball playing capabilities in recent weeks but what impressed me most about him tonight was his intelligence without the ball. Sanchez for example works just as hard but most of it is not well thought out. Campbell had the awareness and intelligence to see that we were being outnumbered in midfield and tucked in at times, like experience midfielders (playing wide, Parlour for example) would do.

I had my reservations about him but this guy is really winning me over.

Happy to have him on our right for the rest of the season when Sanchez gets back. Walcott can go back to being Giroud's back up.

Between Wilshere and him, our right side should be sorted and have enough punch to see us through the season. Just hope Wilshere gets back soon. Would be nice having competition for places again and genuine threats off the bench.

I'd rather get 70 good mins from him than 5 good mins from Theo, but at the same time I'd have liked to have been able to keep him on yesterday rather than bringing on Gibbs.

11 starts, 4 goals and 4 assists. Can't really argue with that.

You'd hope that if he continues playing and gets a good pre-season in the summer he'd have better stamina next season.

He's now showing the ability he's shown for the Ticos. He also knows how to defend, compared to Walcott who tracks back but has no clue what to do once he's there. Yes, would love to see him with improved stamina.

I've changed my opinion on him.

He actually tracks back well and doesn't undo it by losing the ball like Welbeck does. End product is there too.

For now he should be starting with Sanchez with Walcott on the bench and Ox should be on loan.
