I think Bale carries more threat on the ball and Theo carries more threat off the ball. I expect Theo to score more goals than Bale in the long term, however.

i think it's very tough to call. what a team southampton would've had, though.
Yeah, Bale and Walcott, and 9 other random League One footballers.
Bale is already technically good/developed. I don't see the game understanding, the intelligence or dynamism there. Theo has big room for improvement technically, combine that with his other qualities, and we could be talking world class territory.
Palacios needs to sod off. What a poor footballer.
Palacios is a waste of a footballer. That's the fourth chance he's screwed up. He's small, bald, dirty, has poor distribution and can't turn his head because he's got no neck. He's basically a sligthtly improved version of De Jong.
... and Rafael is off! Serves him right.
Haha, and Rooney gets a yellow card for having a cunty personality. The ref handled this one brilliantly.

i'm not sure how you can say that theo will improve even more but bale won't. if anything, i'd say it's more likely that a player improves mentally than technically. you're trying to come up with rational explanations for your opinion, but when it comes down to it, you just have a feeling. that's fine, we're all entitled to one.
you don't think southampton would be near the top of the championship with walcott and bale up front/on the wings?
I was pulling your leg mate. I'm sure Southampton fans are a gutted not to have them.
We'll see with Theo and Bale.
Van der Vaart you've got to hit the target!
I thought the Rafael sending off was justified. Doesn't matter that it was unintentional. He brought him down, it was clumsy, second booking. Andy Gray chatting shit.
He ran across him, and knew what he was doing.
Come on Tottenham you useless bastards.
I wouldn't mind Vidic picking up an injury to keep him out for a few months.
I'll settle for that. Utd have to lose soon, they're surely not good enough to keep this up.
Useless fuckers.
Why is everyone acting so dissapointed?
This is a great result.
United have a tough schedule ahead, so we should expect more draws for them going forward. I think it's in our hands to catch up with them.
Spurs not winning is good. The last thing we need is another serious contender in the title race, and all the noise that Spurs fans will make. Not to mention the 'we beat United' decorative plates...

Because ManU are still unbeaten, and are above us in the League, with a game in hand.
That was the best ManU have got out there today, both in terms of their team and squad, everyone was available, and they were mediocre at best. I'm waiting for Tony to turn up and tell me ManU played like champions.
We really must get our act together rand win this League.
As much as we criticize them for looking awful, they're ahead of us. What does that say about the Arse? That we look good in spurts but can't do better than a team that always looks poor?
Well unless they're now docking points for being especially crap in the league, United were always going to be above us, with a game in hand at the end of todays play. We are however, 2 points closer to them than we were at the start of the weekend.
This was one of United's tougher games and it would have been a mini-disaster if they got all 3 points. Obviously would have been a bonus for their unbeaten run to end but it's all about the points and 1 points really isn't that much better than 0.
