Allegri worries me. I don't think he's aggressive enough. We really need someone to put the fire back inside this club. It's Simeone or nothing for me. We shouldn't undersell ourselves and aim for the very best.
I don't think enough of our players are man enough to deal with an aggressive manager - they've been molly coddled into believing that there is always tomorrow's game etc.
I just want a manager who looks to play field position as being core to his tactic,
and who has passion for the club and kit
and for whom the most important game is the one you are playing, that regardless of the result the performance is still important.
I think Simeone is too far removed from Wenger's vision & style for this BoD & owner, and they won't want to flush the work of the last 20 years.
I'm picking it will be someone of similar ideology re possession based short passing looking to dominate both ball and field position.
I also think they will need to be experienced at both a BIG club and UEFA, so I discount the likes of Mancini because he has failed to progress in the CL.
I don't think they'll want someone who has a dominating personality like a Simeone of Mourinho or even a Klopp.
Whilst I like the likes of Sampaoli & Jardim etc, I'd be surprised if they got the nod.
I'm thinking of someone who is either from the Cruyff / Wenger / Guardiola style who allows the players to express themselves on the ball in the attacking 3rd, but who also works on positional play as both tactic and defence on & off the ball (as opposed to playing a defensive style of game).
I think they'll also want someone who can work with the Academy re the internal development policy.
