By all accounts most of my Serie A watching friends seem of three opinion that Allegri isn't really someone we should be hoping to get. They all seem unanimous in their claims that he's overrated purely because he's lucky enough to be managing the best team in the country that any Tom, Dick and Harry could lead to titles.
They also point out that with AC Milan, a team that isn't the best in the league and without the millions needed to really invest in the team (which is the position we'recommend in) that he had consistantly struggled and that AC Milan. Although he won a single title with them they put it down to having Ibra carrying them that season.
They also claim that heven most likely won't do any better than Wenger and that similar to AW even his footballing philosophy is about passing and less so about pace power or pressing. And although he tinkers at times that it's easy to do with a team like Juve.
Who knows, maybe they're just haters. But it was interesting getting their opinions on him
