Also, this paragraph:

Mourinho’s explosive reaction at the time is the subject of an FA inquiry — as Sportsmail revealed last week — after a member of the public made a complaint, claiming that the Portuguese manager had shouted ‘filha da puta’; something that means ‘daughter of a whore’ and, if proven, could lead to Mourinho being banned for five matches.

😆 I would love to see this happen in the wake of the Costa suspension. The two biggest scum in English football both doing time.

Imagine Eva rushing out to massage Coq.

Stay classy José and Chelsea. Now also accused of sexism. What's next?

i can't believe she's 42. i think i've been missing a trick with these milf types.

I hope she really is taking legal action against Chelsea, disgraceful that her public humiliation was endorsed by their support of José's decision as well as their silence on the matter.

I hope she takes legal action too. Her reputation is practically destroyed because of Mourinho, and she objectively didn't do anything wrong. A lot of people don't seem to understand that the physios aren't answering to the manager during a game. They're answering to the referee. They can't enter the field without his permission and they're obligated to do it when he summons them.

What Mourinho suggested, that the physios should have realised that Hazard wasn't really injured, is in other words nonsensical. It's remarkable that none of the journalists during his post-match presser called him out on his bullshit. Michael Oliver signalled twice to Chelsea's medical team to come on and give Hazard treatment. If Mourinho has an issue with that he should bring it up with Hazard instead, who was clearly faking injury in the hope that the referee would stop the game. It's a typical Mourinho tactic. It just so happened that it backfired this time.

Just hope Chelsea continue to drop points. Mourinho won't last the season

Her reputation isn't destroyed. She has immense media and public sympathy

Her reputation as a serious physio has been completely undermined because of this incident. Mourinho made sure she'll be known for a controversy now instead of her actual work. Whenever her name comes up in the future this is the first thing that will spring to mind.

I think most who'll ever read her name on a CV will have heard of the reason for the dismissal. Mourinho did her career actually a favour, she was relatively well known for a physio before the incident, now she's basically a celebrity.

when her name comes up i think of the two cantaloupes she's smuggling in her back pockets.

I agree Jonesy, I doubt Wenger will part with the huge wages she will no doubt command now.

Just think of the club trackpants she'd sell in Asia.

It doesn't really matter. She will always be connected with controversy now. It's not exactly an advantage in society to be accused of a crime just because you're found not guilty in the end. The same applies to having your competence questioned. In the public mind there will remain question marks and doubts. She didn't ask for this. She has the right to be judged on her work and education just like everyone else. It's bad enough that she was known before as "that token woman" on Chelsea's bench. Now she's either gonna be "that token woman who got fired for incompetence" or "that token woman who sued the club because she couldn't deal". Neither is flattering.

The Telegraph ran a good piece about the controversy the other day: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/11885330/Eva-Carneiro-leaving-Chelsea-shames-Jose-Mourinho-and-is-a-dark-day-for-football.html

Carneiro suffered more than most. She only needed to step foot on the pitch at Old Trafford last March for some supporters to scream that she was a “s--g” and to tell her to “get her t--s out for the lads”. Their behaviour is so prevalent that it becomes almost wallpaper noise at our grounds.

Ralph Rogers, her predecessor at Chelsea, had the nerve to denounce her as a cheerleader and a celebrity doctor for daring to suggest that she was bigger than the manager. It was all hectoring nonsense of the worst kind, a bullying reaction to a woman voicing gratitude for some solidarity in what must surely be the loneliest job in football.

People can pretend all they want that gender doesn't play into this, but it's obviously a factor. Carneiro was already being judged each week, long before Mourinho decided to paint her as naïve and turn her into a scapegoat for his own failures as a manager. No matter how she responds, this is not something that will help her case as a serious doctor in sports medicine.

Well obviously we wouldn't be expecting her to "get her tits out for the boys".

I'm sure most of us would be content just to see her shake those cute buns.

Let's just say I disagree. Don't think anyone questioned her competence because of this incident, it's clear as day who's at fault here to anyone. Even though she did nothing wrong - controversy sells, most medical practices would embrace her with open arms and I guess a lot of sportsmen would want to consult her just because of her name/her former employer. Not exactly the same situation but Müller-Wohlfahrt, Bayern's ex-head physician, has a long standing reputation of being an incompetent charlatan among fellow doctors, yet guys like Usain Bolt fly out to him every time because of his name and his name only.

Carneiro's gender is a completely different story by the way, although I don't think she'll have it as bad outside of the prehistoric grounds that are football stadiums.
