been thinking more about our formation recently, especially watching barcelona just light the world on fire.
they essentially play a 4-1-2-3 formation. busquets is deep, rack city and iniesta are capable of pushing forward and maybe you wouldnt call them true box to box mids but i think i would, then you have a legitimate LW and RW in neymar and messi, and then a centerforward in suarez.
thinking about our formation, we cant play the same way unless we play ozil on the wing. but then again, might we be better off? if we want to play ramsey centrally, we should have a player similar to him playing next to him, with coq deep.
if we had, say, pogba next to ramsey, then a front 3 of ozil, giroud, and alexis, would we be better off? i think the whole ozil cant be effective on the LW might need to be re-visited. hes obviously going to drift and do his thing, and its hard to argue with his form this year playing more centrally, but are we better off as a team playing a 4-2-3-1? i wonder.
