I find the majority of standup pretty hard to enjoy, and usually find political variety shows (we have the odd shit one here as well) very weak sauce. I just watched some of that second Samantha B video and found it fairly unbearable.
I have had a bad reaction to a couple of feminist comedians, Ali Wong comes to mind. But I think it was because her whole bit was like a woman's equivalent of a "take my wife" set.
Have really enjoyed a few Stewart Lee bits over the years, although even his schtick of making jokes about jokes is wearing thin.
I did enjoy The Good Place a lot so far, though, and I think it's partly because of the calibre of writers Schur is getting in: for instance Megan Amram (who has written a ton of clever humour for The Toast) is brilliant.
