All I can really say, and this is not in the slightest an exaggeration: it was vastly more menacing than the most menacing thing to happen so far in this season of Game of Thrones. Great plot developments, great twists, great supernatural intrigue, great sheer inscrutability, and easily as many long distance world building callbacks to reward the fans as anything else on television.
But find out for yourself some time. The season has been an extraordinary achievement so far.
