Watched the first Defenders last night, I just don't care and Ironfist is a showbreakingly bad actor. I'll probably end up watching more because my wife likes it and its the summer so nothing else is on.

it's all a bit CW - around the same quality as season 3 of arrow, which is when i tuned out

I actually like the CW stuff more, I've given up on Arrow too but Flash and Supergirl are better than most of the Netflix Marvel stuff. They're lighter and have a bit of humour. Being dragged over a 24 episode season can make them a bit plodding at times but overall still better.

Twin Peaks episode Lonely Souls was great. The episode where Laura's killer was revealed.

Season two gets pretty damn average from there for a good while.

I think it gets too much stick personally. It's easily as good as most of season 1. It introduced most of the supernatural ideas that became the hallmarks of Twin Peaks too.

Whenever people talk about season 2 being a massive letdown it's like they suddenly forgot about all those infuriating scenes with James and Donna that just dragged on and on in the worst romance that has ever been shown on tv. I'll take my Windom Earle torturing Leo Johnson any day, thankyouverumuch.

I disagree with you on that Klaus—to me, James and Donna's romance is far less tiresome than the Windom Earle arc. If it's the "worst romance that has ever been shown on TV" that makes it good viewing in my book.

Might be a consequence of having watched S1 and S2 three times through, but the back half of S2 is definitely torturous, both in terms of what's depicted, and how it feels to watch it.

Either way, The Return is superb.

James and Donna is in many ways one of the most amazing parts of Twin Peaks for me. They stick in my craw, and have done for well over a decade. I don't think the entire show, including this season, has the same impact without them.

I wanted to love Windom Earle. Ended up being a disaster, which Lynch did a fairly poor job of rescuing for the S02 finale in my book. Then the travesty that was Fire Walk With Me. Hated just about every second of it.

To me, S03 brings everything back a bit, and is the only way this kind of thing should ever have been done. The only reboot I've ever had much time for.

I really enjoyed Windom Earle and Leo. Although I was a bit disappointed we never got original Leo back.

My main gripe with Season 2 was James' escapades with Evelyn Marsh.

I love that they played Axolotl by The Veils on Twin Peaks the other night. Big fan of that song. I had no idea they were going to perform it on the show. I just watched the music video for the first time and realised that it could more or less pass as deleted scenes from season 3:

I binge watched atypical on Netflix the other day, good show that's funny and good for some light TV.

Nice clip Klaus! The tramp with the long red hair and the "wound" seeping black blood is very reminiscent of one of the Woodsmen.

I got into Dirty Beaches again for a bit as a consequence of season three, they have a similar sound to that track. It's that very compressed, motorik, reverb-heavy blues sound. Good driving music.

Lynch and his musical offsider John Neff had some similar sounds on previous Lynch soundtracks.

Any of you lot watched Ozark? I just finished first episode and I quite enjoyed it.

Defenders was a total flop until suddenly picking up in the final episode when it is too late.

The main culprit is the Hand. The sidious,defatigable,corrigible,utterly shambolic Hand.

The only good thing to come out of it is that there's no more Hand to mess up future Marvel Netflix.

i watched the first episode too. there's enough there to make me re-visit it at some point, but i didn't get the binge bug from it

I've 2 episodes left and yeah its been pretty bad so far. I want a Luke Cage and Jessica Jones without the others show. The other 2 seriously lack any kind of charisma.
