yeah im in the same boat, binge watched up to episode 8 this past weekend. i always knew the significance of the oj trial, but never knew the details of the case itself. its surprisingly funny too - that scene when the prosecutor strutted into court thinking her barnet was the shit 😆

The time jump and location change made the premiere too.. disjointed/clunky, I thought. At least the set-up for the rest of the season is done with.

Spoilers:
- Rip Rebecca. Really shitty that they've spent three seasons building her up to either take over from Proctor or eventually side with Hood, but I'm guessing the actress had other things to do. No way they'dd kill her off like that if not.

- Please not let the last season of Banshee be about the hunt for a serial killer.

Holy shit, just watched the sixth episode of the X-Files reboot season.

What the fuck were they thinking? The dialogue was worse than fanfic. Utter nonsense. Only thing I can imagine is that Chris Carter is so desperate for work he couldn't bear the idea of any form of narrative closure in the final episode.

Such a pointless cliffhanger too by the looks of it. Everyone knows who it is. Camera angle apart it played out exactly like in the books, right down to Negan's dialogue.

I didn't find it all that infuriating mind you, thought it was a pretty good ending to a pretty chilling finale. Think the second half of the season has been excellent.

Well, almost everyone. It's well-known which character bites it. It's been a heavily dicussed topic at most tv sites, particularly the way said character died.

Same here, just caught the final two episodes after losing interest during the run. The last episode is several rungs below even the rest of the season, it's one of the greatest insults to television I've ever seen.

I'm not a Brit but am watching it here in Oz on Foxtel. I posted a page or two back about it, including a link to a great article by le Carre himself on watching the production unfold. http://www.theguardian.com/books/2016/feb/20/john-le-carre-the-night-manager-television-adaptation

The series is 3 episodes in now and is fantastic. Really gripping stuff with great performances by the whole cast. I still can't really remember the book - I read it about 15 years ago. They have switched geographic locations and the gender of at least one character.

It's really worth watching. This is what modern television can do that a movie can't. It can explore and build upon the depth of a novel that a movie can't.
