good to hear asto. will definitely be checking it out
Did anyone else watch Horace and Pete? I'd recommend it if anyones interested. Its more of a play shot for TV than a recognisable modern TV show but its very good. Its not perfect the debates at the bar are cringe worthy 90% of the time but the main characters are well drawn and the acting from Buscemi and Alda is some of their very best work.
Caught up on the final espisode of Walking Dead last night. I thought it was pretty average and the show just feels like it's repeating itself now. Not sure I'll bother with season 7.
I actually though this season was the freshest it's been for a while, both with the way the characters outlook changed and in terms of the plot. Next season looks like it's going to be a different scenario than these guys have been used to too.
I pretty much agree Oft but I think they made a mess of the whole thing with a few really stupid decisions. First one was Glen under the bin and then the final moment of the finale was the other. Those are 2 major mistakes IMO, really cheap and tacky decisions that cost them a lot of trust from the audience.
Yeah, the bit with Glen was terrible. The final moment didn't bother me that much but I do agree it wasn't a great decision.
You kinda expect that sort of thing from TWD though, it's always been rough around the edges.
I think before I've always felt they generally get the big moments right and some of the rough edges pop up more in the filler.

This was my feeling on the show halfway through the prison season, think it was season 3. I never saw another episode after the mid-season finale. Probably should have cut the cord even earlier, one of those things where I didn't enjoy the show and couldn't tell you why I was watching.
Just watched Detectorists. Really made me want to go back to the old country.
Anyone watched Power? It's like the new Wire (not as clever though).

yep watched it from the very first ep. it's one of my favourite shows around, but it's more slanted in that 'guilty pleasure' direction. it's not meant to be particularly intelligent, it's more of a suspense/melodrama. i'd recommend it as good fodder to watch with your gf or wife, there's elements that both of you would enjoy. it's well shot and reasonably well acted though (apart from 50 cent :lol🙂

I was wondering about this show. Will check it out. Is it funny?
Mostly just sad. My kind of funny, tbh. I enjoyed it, despite its sappiness. Good casting choices and great camera work.
I watched the first episodes of The Detectorists a while ago and meant to keep going, must get back into it. Really liked the episode I watched.
You know I don't mind House of Cards being stupid as long as it's moderately entertaining but 7 episodes in and it has been painfully dull. Genuinely don't know why I'm still watching.
It gets slightly less dull but no less stupid towards the end of the season.
I'm really struggling along with this season of Daredevil. Its pretty bad, why is Daredevil such an unlikeable cunt?
I'm yet to start House of Cards' second season (or was the subway incident in the 2nd already?). Is it even worth picking it up again?
It gets progressively worse, you wouldn't miss much if you dropped it. I've only kept watching because of Kevin Spacey.
House of Cards gets worse. First season was the only good thing. I stopped in the middle of second.
I liked DareDevil. Season 2 gets a little bit boring and gets off track but will give it another season. Just thinking this might be a segway into more fun stuff.
