No Dell was the cartel guy who recruited Marty and his partner. The scene you are thinking about was when Marty finds out his partner has been skimming off the cartel accounts. Marty was in on the actual laundering from the get go, just not the skimming. In fact he was the brains behind the laundering strategy.
Yeah that's the scene I'm thinking of. I thought that's when he found out that his partner was working for them. You sure he knew the whole time and was only surprised about the skimming? I thought he was surprised at the whole thing.
That changes everything then if he wasn involved and knowingly was money laundering for the cartel from the start, i.e. before that first scene.
