Drive to Survive drops on Netflix soon - love that show.

And watched the first episode of Lupin, also on Netflix. Really enjoyed that - I love a good heist show. I liked the cutting between time periods, thought it was well done. Omar Sy is a compelling fellow to watch.

I fucking love Snowpiercer at the moment. Sean Beans been a great addition to the cast, one of the best villains on TV in a while.

Really liked Lupin too. Can't wait to see what sort of plan he comes up with in the second part of the series.

Huh, never gave Snowpiercer a chance. Only heard that it's much worse than the movie and I'm probably one of the few on here who didn't think that one was already bad.

I think its much better than the movie. The reception I seen online to Snowpiercer at the start was extremely stupid, people were calling it a procedural because there is a murder investigation but really its just an excuse to take the main character all over the train so they can world build. And the murder then plays into the ongoing plot. Give it a go its an easy watch that rattles along nicely in terms of its plot.

I'll probably check it out then, Sean Bean is great.

Been checking out some decent shows lately.

Mrs. America is about the attempt to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment in the 60s-70s. Quite a great cast with Margot Martindale and Rose Byrne on the ERA movement side and Cate Blanchett and Sarah Paulson on the side that fights against it.

Started Schitt's Creek after seeing it win a lot of awards. Not been laugh out loud funny so far (only on season 1), but perfectly good entertainment and comedies seem to settle properly after the first season anyway.

Nathan For You however is incredible, can't believe I've never heard of it before. 50/50 laughing and cringing at the awkwardness.

A few indies like Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones and Goldeneye springs to mind.

He plays a decent villain in Patriot Games, Golden Eye, National Treasure etc.

I loved the Snowpiercer movie despite its on-the-nose allegory. But the initial reactions I'd read to the series (including here) was that it was nowhere near as good.

Watched the first episode of the documentary Football's Darkest Secret. Those guys had immense courage to talk about the abuse they suffered.

Somewhere I have the box set of DVDs of the Sharpe movies - some good stuff in there, similar to Hornblower. The books by Bernard Cornwell are rollicking tales in the Napoleonic times as well.

I had no intention of watching Snowpiercer, the premise sounded ludocrous, but it’s actually great. Binged the hell out of it in the last couple of days.

Sean Bean is great, but I'm not sure he's so suited to a such a malevolent character. He still pulls it off mind you.

oh really? i was going to ask how it stacks up to the movie, which was pretty good. felt like a bit of a thin concept to stretch over a season of television
