I need something new to watch now that I'm nearly done with my BSG re-run (I've gotten to the bad bit but the whole thing was a lot better than I gave it credit for) and there seems to be very little out there that appeals to me that I haven't already seen. Might have to give the Sopranos another go.
I loved Dark, but me and my friends used to meet up with a few spliffs to watch it and talk about it, made a real event out of it, so that might definitely impact my judgement. Also I'm german, so that may also be a factor 😆
It's definitely a bit like Stranger Things in Germany, the dark atmosphere and mystery of it all is what I liked about it and it was fun to discuss the metaphoric stuff, though it's a bit heavy handed at times and unlike Stranger Things it becomes more and more about philosophical questions about determinism etc. towards the end of the series. You should watch the first few episodes and if you find yourself hooked, you'll definitely enjoy the rest of it, even though the last season is quite a bit weaker than the other two imo, and if you don't, just drop it, because it only becomes more and more confusing and you'll have to actively remember a lot of stuff to keep up in the later seasons.
