Is How I met your Mother worth watching? My nephew said it's great but I'm half an episode in and it's not grabbing me so far.

I haven't picked up on any of the references I must admit, though i've only really watched the films. I will say that it's definitely helped knowing where it fits on the timeline though thanks to whoever posted it in the film thread that one time.
