Yeah, Warrior is much better for my money too. Andrew Koji trained actual shaolin at a temple in addition to being a taekwondo fighter,
and Taslim Lam is supreme. It's a joy watching them chopping away.
Into The Badlands had a really good thing in Daniel Wu who's a pretty excellent fighter and might even have been a better lead, I think he's an extremely underrated actor, but the rest of the fighting wasn't up to his standards. It was just a little too obvious that they weren't interested in keeping it realistic and skillful by the time they brought in Nick Frost and turned him into a 300 pound kung fu master 😆
I think Wu did what he could with that show, but nothing outside of his character was really engaging. Warrior taps into a much more interesting story.
