It's decent but lacks some focus I thought. I like the vibe too but as you say it's not too sophisticated. If you like shows like that try Les Revenants, been many years since I've seen it (and it's been americanised in the mean time - poorly though) but that was basically Zone Blanche but far better at everything it tries to do.
As for the title translation that's just the translation 😆 counter intuitive maybe but both mean the same thing, an area without cellular network coverage
