he has lost a step, but he's still one of the best on the mic. i enjoyed his earlier netflix specials a little more than sticks and stones.
as comedians like him start to age, there's a worry that they fall into an 'old man yells cloud' type of energy. bill burr is another one of my favourites that used to dance on that line perfectly, but his last few specials fell on the wrong side of it
problem is, there are no new comedians coming through with the same rawness and clarity of a piss-and-vinegar filled chapelle or rock. the streaming model has saturated the market to the point where bog standard comedians are being handed specials left and right. it's hard to find classic stand-up specials these days
