It is absolutely incredible. One of my all time favorites. Nervous about the show, haven't gotten anywhere near it yet.

We binged the first 2 seasons of Derry Girls this weekend (yeah, took us about 3 hours since they're pretty short. lol), also going in 100% blind.. Was very pleasantly surprised by it, and yes, for those of us who don't know that much about that situation, it's a decent short intro to it. Can't wait for season 3. I will admit that some of the dialog was hard to understand at times - yes, because I'm American and the accents are pretty thick sometimes and pronunciations and slang used are not commonly known here (and yes, i watched it with subtitles on so I could get everything they were saying) Haha.

Also watched Mindhunter season 2, also a very good show, loved the first season, and the second season didn't let us down. Love some of the interviews they did. Also looking forward to season 3 of that.

Unfortunately it sounds like it might be at least a couple of years before Mindhunter season 3 because Fincher is busy.

On a different note, Game of Thrones season 8 just won the Emmy for best drama. 😆

I've caught up on the Righteous Gemstones the last few days and its great. If you like Eastbound and Down and Vice Principals get on it ASAP.

When I binge shows I find it hard to separate from episode to episode, but in the end I think she's a great character. There's a lot of filling in as the show goes on.

And yeah, The Righteous Gemstones is awesome. I was surprised to learn that the song used in the dancing number in the episode last week was an original song written just for that scene.

I remember being excited for The Newsroom because I really love The West Wing. Mostly it was ok, but not great. That scene though - how cringeworthy can you get.

The West Wing was just as cringey. Starts out fun but Sorkin's nonstop bigotry masquerading as considered and thoughtful patriotism drives me insane.

I loved the West Wing, but every time I try to re-watch I can never get through it as it becomes difficult to take seriously at points, I don't know about bigotry but it's definitely difficult to take the morally pure high horse riding that goes on. It's funny that House of Cards is probably a more accurate depiction of reality than TWW.

At least it sort of suited the political setting, Studio 60 was based on a fucking comedy sketch show. Never watched Newsroom but it couldn't be any worse than Studio 60.
