Anyone remember that episode of the US Office with Will Ferrel juggling? Well to be honest I don't either because I never watched the Office US but anyways here is the clip.

Never watched US Office either. Finally decided to give Its Always Sunny in Philly a go, have to say it too me about 6-7 seasons to really buy into it. Very different to any other show of its type I must say.

I'm impressed you gave it 7 seasons and kept thinking that you'd like it eventually. 😆 Personally I struggled with the first season, but really enjoyed the rest.

I'd surpressed the latest seasons of The Office from memory, but that was a great edit.

Rewatched all of the Office last year cos my wife had never seen it. The latter seasons annoyed me a lot less than the they did on first viewing. Even the Catherine Tate episodes were somewhat watchable.

Stranger Things season 3 was pretty good after a strong second half of the season. I reckon I enjoyed it more than season 2. Lighter, less suspense but in a way that makes a nice change. Hopefully they can keep it together for season 4.

To be fair I really wanted to like it, I just felt something was missing. The chemistry in the group wasn't quite right and Dennis and Ronald McDonald in particular took a while to really develop their characters.

Same. It was just a lot of fun, which is what I want from ST.

Personally thought it was getting a bit crowded character-wise for a while, but other than that I really enjoyed it.

The second season of Big Little Lies has disappointed me. Haven't watched the finale yet, but it has been lacking a direction compared to the great first season.

Couldn't even get through the first episode of Stranger Things 3. Barely made it through the 2nd season, to be fair, but it really fell off a cliff completely. Nonsensical character "developments", horrendous dialogue, total loss of what made it interesting in terms of narrative and plot. Nothing for me in there.

i think it's been on a downslope too, but mainly because the element of surprise is gone. season 1 was such a bolt from the blue. 2 & 3 while solid, failed to recapture that magic

I thought Season 3 was decent, with it growing in quality as the season went on. Part of the issue, and why the first few episodes disappointed, is that the nostalgia binge/terroir of the show isn't as endearing after two seasons. When it first came out you latched on to the setting as much as the characters, but the characters/plot line haven't grown as the nostalgia/setting faded.

this feels right. and I don't think the storytellers have tried to explain what the fuck is going on in a sensible way as well. shit is just happening in season 3.

The show isn’t that deep. It improved significantly as the season went on not because of a great plot or character development but because they brought the characters together and upped the pace/intensity.

The biggest challenge they face is avoiding getting repetitive. I loved the final ep but the very final scene was an eye roller.
