Chris Rock has been cast in a leading role in Fargo's season 4. Haven't seen him in a long time, but kind of sceptical. In season 1 they had Freeman and Thornton who were both excellent. The acting in season 2 was possibly even better since Dunst gave the performance of a lifetime, Wilson and Plemons were great and the support cast was absolutely stacked. I like season 3 the least, but even then Coon and McGregor are in a different league to Rock. Hopefully they'll fill the cast with some other good names.

I reckon Chris Rock has potential in a show like Fargo. They have a good track record of finding the strong points of actors.

Anyone watched Nightflyers? Reading the synopsis it feels like I’ve watched this show a few times before, but seeing George RR Martin attached to it made me wonder if it’s worth a go.

Nightflyers is pretty bad. It has interesting moments but it's just a straight up odd show. It doesn't work either on a character level or a storytelling level and the choices made in the narrative are just baffling. I don't know how faithful it is to Martin's book, but judging by the tv series there's probably a good reason you haven't heard of it before.

I found season three pretty unwatchable, couldn't handle that much of McGregor being loathsome.

Chris Rock is fairly talented, would've preferred a Chris Tucker season though. 😉

Has Rock ever done straight acting before? I'm a big fan of his stand up but I'm failing to think of any serious acting he's done.

Just watched the Hanna pilot. Not sure if they can keep it going, but off to a phenomenal start.

True Detective Season 3 has been amazing so far. Great cast and the story is so gripping and well built.

Agreed, binged through most of it yesterday and today. Solid showing that is worth a watch. They’ve pushed the time/age layers a little too far but acting has been really solid throughout the characters.

Will be interesting to see how the finale plays out.

Been sick and off work for a couple of days so took the opportunity to finally finish season 2 of Ozark. Such a great show and now can't wait for season 3. Anyone who hasn't watched it should do themselves a favour.
