Just switched on as Japan scored. England-Canada in an hour.
Japan completely outclassed the Aussies, playing at a level they didn't show earlier. Should have scored more, but were sometimes guilty of overplaying things. That's how good they are though cos 'overplaying' is bit of an alien concept in the women's game.

Wow. Didn't think I'd see England in a World Cup semi final in my lifetime. Canada were the better team for most of it and at 2-0 there was so much time left I didn't expect us to hold on. Pretty heroic defending at the end. Good to see a couple of the Arsenal players get on too. Going to be tough against Japan but at the stage where anything can happen now I guess.
Woke up to see the scoreline. Knew England would go through, Canada has not impressed as a team despite having better individual players.
USA v Germany semi final Surprised how well USA is playing. I've been underwhelmed by their play, although they started to show some sparks in their last game. Whoa. Players banging heads

You do actually. Japan's forward line are skillful but not efficient, and while the back four are very good, the keeper is plain dodge.
