Complete and utter bellend, how this man won European player of the year while Henry didn't will remain forever a mystery. As a player only really cared and looked out for himself. Happily walked saw down his deal at Liverpool so he could join R.Madrid, then when it didn't work out joined Liverpool and leached off them for years. They paid him throughout his injuries and he left on a free. Then joins Man utd to win a few trophies before his career fizzles out. Only really cared about playing for England, was always just about him.
Cracking player mind you back in the day, though not as good as people made out. Never once scored 20 league goals in a season and injuries played a bit part in that. I think his personality has come out more recently though. His pathetic agenda against us, generally boring demeanour and the fact he talks shit all counts against him.
BT Sport have signed up Linekar for their CL coverage which is a good start. I wouldn't pay for their channel if it wasn't for CL next season. Their analysts and commentating is so shit. Who do the producers actually think they are kidding!
