Yves, what on earth is going on in that image there? I don't see a legend or what anything is meant to mean. The yellow line looks like the assists. Blue passes, dark red dribbles? Stars tackles? What?
Thing is Santi and Coq have been pretty central to all our good form over the last 10 months or so. They're both put in a box like Santi can't defend or control the tempo of the game and Coq only knows how to intercept or tackle but can't pass or doesn't have a good touch. They have both, at least in my eyes, shows that they are much better in a lot more situations that they are given credit for.
Santi defends pretty well, might be slightly weak but he's always putting himself about, isn't afraid of making a tackle, and is intelligent about covering space and for his teammates. He also shows for the ball a hell of a lot in addition to what he contributes going forward. Similarly Coq has shown pretty good technical skills throughout his time here with plenty of nice dribbles and quick direct passes. He might not overdo it but that's because it's not his role, not because he doesn't know how.
I think they're in the stage that Monreal was at the beginning to middle of last season where some rated him but the rest needed to see it for a long period before accepting that they are just a lot better than given credit for. Also it'll be harder to convince some because there are plenty of people who believe that Ramsey should be fist choice CM and will judge these players harshly.
