Felt Cazorla was a little MIA tonight.
Could probably use a rest.
No way was he MIA. Caz was crucial in handling Thiago and Alonso. Our 'worst' player was possibly Rambo (in a game where none of our players were bad). Not really his fault as we were forced to play a game that didn't suit him.
To clarify, when I said Cazorla looks leggy, he couldn't get anywhere near when he was turned. There's shades of Arteta slipping in and Cazorla can't hide it with ruggishness.
Cazorla was immense today, both on the ball and defensively. His set pieces were on point, great feeling to have two decent takers with him and Özil in place of the Cesc floaty ball horseshit we had to endure for years
Yeah, we had so many chances from set pieces in the first half. It was kinda weird.

😆
Little Santi is in great form. Not sure there is a better midfielder in the league at the moment.
From the start he was picking up the ball from the defense and starting attacks.
His defensive work has always been great.
Best CM in the league at the moment definitely.
He was very good today, and is in good form overall.
Worried about him and Coq in the CL latter stages, but in the league they're doing the business.

Should have sold him in the summer. /Klaus 😆
Now, now. Don't paint all the Swedes with the same brush, Jones. I'm sure Rex was the only one advocating selling him.
No, I wanted to imitate Klaus' posts every time Özil has a good game. "Should have sold him, final ball is still shit" etc
When Santi's playing well, we're winning. Long may it continue.
No no, that's Gurgen who says we should have sold him. Klaus normally goes for 'Final ball is so shit' and 'We should play Cazorla in place of him instead'.

Ah, fair enough.
I don't think Cazorla is a strength of this team.
Yeah the snide hyperbole is getting a little tiresome, Ozil for example had a great game today and is in good form overall, but it wasn't the virtuoso performance some here are making it out to be. Missed a pretty glaring sitter in the first half as well

Yeah but its Ozil. If he plays like shit then you just don't get it, if he plays well then he's the best player in the league.

There's also no difference between Ozil now and the Ozil we saw in 2014.
There is a big difference in his work ethic in my opinion. Özil back then was living off of his movement and his final ball, now he actually added some hustle to his game.
