There was a period today when everyone was all over the shop. As for Ramsey, I'd say he in the last three or four games has more played like a central mid in a diamond midfield rather than as a wide player. Perhaps him understanding his defensive role out wide better, but we look better defensively as a result IMO.
If we could just get Cazorla to defend the same way on the left, that is be the first option to help Monreal, then we could leave Alexis slightly higher up the pitch for us to better utilize counter attacks.
Özil also put in a real shift defensively, and at times we looked more like a 4-4-2 with Özil wide left and Alexis up front with Walcott. That was mainly just Alexis being unable to get back after having tried to put pressure on the ball, and Özil reacting to that though.
