Apparently, Beckenbauer has backed Klopp to replace Benitez at Napoli.

Re Rafa:
I could imagine Ricky's prediction of Rafa coming true like this:

1) Rafa gets full control of buying players and structuring the academy or whatever
2) Blows money on players that don't perform
3) Complains about not having enough money to buy better players

I think its a strange hire due to the timing because it would've made a lot more sense after he had left Liverpool. His recent results with Napoli have been subpar after spending over 100m and not finishing in the CL places or challenging for the title. I also think Klopp fits Real's style a lot better as well.

Felt for the guy in 2012-13 season. They lost the league on the final day and lost 2 finals. They were leading the liga till the last day. They had porto on the second-last matchday who were their competitors for the title. Anything bar a loss would ensure they would be leaders for the final-day but they lost to a last minute Kelvin goal.

They lost the europa league to 93rd minute goal from Ivanovic.

They lost the cup after scoring first and then conceding twice in the last 10 minutes.
