Guys, all of you are tired of Wenger. You've been tired of Wenger. And many of you are able to detach yourselves from Arsenal and go off for hikes in the forest or just ignore football for months at a time. You're tired to a woman or man.
Now imagine if you had to deal with the Arsenal malaise as an employee. Everyday you have to pick yourself up and go into the training ground or haul yourself off to Stoke. And you know you've lost interest in the manager. As awful as it is for us, it must be unbearable for some of these guys. And it's not enough to say they signed a contract and they make 100,000 a week. These are people's lives, and it must be depressing to work in an environment where there are no consequences, where excellence is not rewarded, and ambition is absent. I too would want out. The exodus is not surprising. As a consultant I've seen many rudderless organisations where the culture is completely broken, and Arsenal is not dissimilar to them. And in all those places, the employees want out in the worst way.
The worst thing we did was re-sign Wenger. We needed proper review of our culture of under-performance, and we needed to at least remove Wenger. This summer was a moment of truth and Kroenke failed miserably. This is a severely damaged environment
