A swap deal with Aguero (don't think Guardiola fancies him) would be OK with me. I prefer it to forcing him to see out his contract because I don't trust us to go out and replace him with a player of his or Aguero's calibre. We'd just have to tweak our formation a bit with Ozil operating behind Laca and Aguero.

I know Aguero's stock has fallen a bit but he's still a guaranteed 30 goals a season striker. I don't think we'll be really worse off with him in place of Sanchez.

Lemar is a seperatie deal. Get the Aguero swap deal done and pay over the top for Fabinho and Lemar.

This squad minus Alexis, plus Fabinho, Aguero and Lemar would be far better than the one we had last season IMO.

Sounds like it is mistranslated or misquoted. Some on twitter saying he meant he wants to sort things out with us, and hopefully play UCL next season.

Incorrectly translated or not, that he has chosen to talk to the press when on holiday seems to me a calculated move. His first comment on this matter was never going to be a blunt I want out.

i really wanted aguero, but now that we've signed lacazette, if we lose alexis i think we need to sign 2 elite wingers/attacking mids. i doubt we will. so we should just hang on to alexis.

You can easily play both lazacette and Aguero. We are likely to have several games of Lacazette and Welbeck. Why not get the upgrade if the Argentine is willing to lower himself to our level?

£35m for Theo would be great business but I wouldn't be surprised to get it, he's still got goals in him and in a midtable team with more space in behind I think he'd do quite well. Given the stupid prices this summer £25-35m for Theo sounds about right. Get similar for Ox and replace them with someone better. Perfect way to trim down the squad.

Aguero will not come here. I don't think it's dawned on people how unattractive we are as a prospect without Champions League football. Heck, even I won't be watching 90% of those nonsense substandard games.

Exactly. Players in their peak or even heading towards the end of their peak don't want to be at a struggling club. They don't have time to see if we turn it around. Plus with Wenger in charge everyone knows best case scenario is getting back into the top 4 and stagnating there for a few years again.

Exactly, we got lucky with Alexis and Ozil. We failed to build on that and only have ourselves to blame.

Not when he's on £140K in wages. No one else is going to pay him that much. Even if we accept Everton's offer I reckon Walcott himself would turn it down for that reason. Why would he agree to earn less at a worse club? For a small chance to get into a national team that always ends up leaving him at home come the summer tournaments, good form or not?

Aye, this is why we need to keep everyone. We can't do much about contracts running out, but we can get an additional year out of them before that happens.
