Ramsey got injured. Wenger doesn't do dropping players for poor form anyway. Especially with his personal favourites.

Ramsey wasn't injured for Elneny's first start in the league, which was away at Spurs. So I should rephrase it as saying that Wenger shifted Ramsey to the wing, instead of benched him.

But yes, the rest of your post is generally true.

Then Arsenal without Özil doesn't make the difference you seemed to imply. 🙂

Doesn't matter who we have- Wenger is a shit manager.

Hm, hadn't really thought about that. You should tell this to people.

You mean you hadn't thought about it until recently.

21 days later

Wenger confirmed today that Arteta is gone at the end of the season.
Says he sees him as player for next season, but not here.

And confirms that he might join ManCity. Awful

Same thing happened with Vieira.

He'll probably go on to join their coaching staff.

Meanwhile we rot.

Arteta leaving means that we get a new vice-captain (Mert presumably gets promoted to captain). Wonder who it'll be. I reckon it'll be between Kos and Cech.

Kos probably, and Santi as third choice. Cech is not going to cut ahead of those players.

Koscielny doesn't strike me as captain material. Give it to Cech.

Not saying it's a great choice, but it's how things work at Arsenal.

Happy he'll be moving on as a player.

Disappointing he won't be at Arsenal as a staff member/Coach in some element.

Good luck Mikel.

Isn't it better he learns under a good manager, like Guardiola, and comes back to us later if he's any good at it? He'll learn nothing from Wenger.

And he can feel what its like to win a premiership.

You seem to be right into praising Guardiola to the skies now that the sheen's come off Mourinho, Biggs.

Don't think Arteta is a defining loss either on or off the pitch. He's been a class act though.

Yeah a few years under Pep, then take over and do a good job with Everton to prove himself, then he can come back here.

Rumour has it we are trying to keep him, offering him a coaching role with the youth set up.  Definitely someone to keep around imo
