About £18.5m made from sales so far. Not bad going.
I think, apart from Asano, they've gone for the bare minimum and i can only imagine how much lower you expected them to go for.
Could have taken Bennacer back and still made a profit. I think it's awful buisness.
On the one hand it's great financial manoeuvring. On the other hand if you don't plan to keep him, then it's disruptive at a critical time in a young man's life.
Getting rid of unwanted players for peanuts is not great financial manoeuvring. Every single person in Raul's position at any club can do that.
He's talking about buying Bennacer only to sell him.
The discussion is not binary.
Since you used the exact same terms it sounded like you answered to Claude, thus disagreeing with what he said was great financial manoeuvring.
Muswell. Appears I’ve created confusion. I was specifically referring to a scenario of two options where you do not need Bennacer long term a) you do not exercise your option to buy Bennacer, and you take the £4m sell on B) you exercise the option and buy him for £15m, and then sell him a year later for £30m
As i said, my contribution to the discussion does not have to be one of your options as it is part of my reply to Jed. I repeat. Getting rid of unwanted players for peanuts is not great financial manoeuvring.

Yes, I'm talking in terms of quality. Bennacer would have been a classy signing in my opinion. Since we weren't interested in buying him back at all it's safe to say we also weren't interested in keeping him.
...
So you're directly quoting Claude, but replying to Jed...
You can't just retroactively apply statements to whatever suits you in each moment, it's crazy-making.

As i said an hour ago, the discussion is not binary.
So you're saying that either Claude or Jed is in the box, or neither are in the box, or both are in the box...point is, we won't know until we look in the box?

I'm sorry but your needless digging is waffling. My posts are clear and concise.
They are nonsense.

😆 Someone needs help!
Guys, please stop bickering.
Arsenal attempted to broker peace talks with want away captain Laurent Koscielny - but the veteran defender snubbed the offer. Gunners boss Unai Emery was still willing to give Koscielny another chance even after the 33-year-old refused to go on the club’s US tour. But Koscielny is set on leaving the Emirates in this window ...

If true, awful behaviour
Not really surprising after he has already burnt all bridges. Walking back into the team would require an insincere apology and that's before he faces the boos from the crowd.
