Don't do that to yourself as any hope built up will depress you if they stay. It's one think paying a record amount to buy a player and quite another pushing out a player with a signed contract as that door swings both ways as Koscielny has found out.
Rennes President says Arsenal are not willing to let Koscielny go and confirm they met with Arsenal days ago
What? I can't see him playing for us ever again.
Gianluca Di Marzio: Krystian Bielik is currently having a medical at Derby County. AC Milan were interested, but never lodged a formal offer. Transfer will be closed for around £10m.
10 milion pounds. Nice.
Well we'd obviously let him go at the right price. Rennes haven't stumped up the cash, simple.
On Bielik, although it's a great fee for him, I worry this would come back to haunt us. Insert a buy-back clause pretty please.
If the Rennes president says we're not willing to let go, I wonder if that means they didn't meet our demands or if it means that we don't think we'll be able to sign a CB this window.
[Twitter] I think that's a good move for the kid. Wolfsburg were decent last season, finished 6th in the Bundesliga.
If he could get 30 games there it would not only be really good going but set him up perfectly to come back for 2020/21 ready to rumble.
This is exactly the profile of loan we should get for our guys It's also a great endorsement for our club. Last year we send Nelson to Hoffenheim who finished 9th and had a good manager. This season we send ESR for a whole season to Wolfsburg.
You are not seeing this profile of loan for Spurs or United kids. Only City and Chelsea are producing young players of this quality now. So the youth coaches really deserve credit for what they are doing.
Yeah they do. I'm just looking a Smith-Rowe there and thinking how good he's been when he's had chances but he's going to need a good loan if he's to come back and get a shot at Arsenal because there is so much young talent in his position in the squad.
He’s got one eye looking at you and the other looking for you

Wolfsburg were absolutely dreadful last season, no one knows how the fuck they ended up 6th. Might still be a decent move for ESR, they badly need creativity in the middle of the park and they got rid of Labbadia who played some ass horrible to watch football.
Bielik to Derby confirmed
Ospina £3m Asano £1m Bielik £10m Bennacer £4.5m
About £18.5m made from sales so far. Not bad going.
Not bad at all considering none of them were at the club last season.
£2.2m for Amaechi as well.

Reports we are also in talks with Bordeaux.
So far as incoming CBs we've been linked to a loan offer for Rugani that was rejected, with Khedira as a sweetener but he apparently prefers Wolve to us; and subsequent 'links' to Upamecano.
Nketiah to Swansea making the rounds. Will be good for him to play under Cooper renowned for Youth development

What ever happend to 6 month loan deals, they used to be mega useful but nobody seems to do them anymore. Remeber Jack really kicked on with the one at Bolton.
12 months loans is a long tiem for a young player to either A sit on the bench all season disgruntled. Or play until they loose form get dropped then return to Arsenal.
12 months gives the other manager clarity. When you have someone as good as Nketiah, it allows you to build your plans around them, rather than make them a nice to have. I prefer the 12 month option. 6 month is disruptive for managers and players.
If Eddie goes to Swansea or any other Championship club, I think that's his Arsenal career done. Would prefer he went and played top flight football abroad
It probably already is as if Emery couldn't give him any game time last season when there was less competition, he is getting nothing this season so it's best he instructs his agent to find him a decent landing ground.
