Krystian Bielik is determined to leave Arsenal. He has been informed that he is not in Emery's plans and Arsenal do not plan to extend his contract. [@wlodar85]

MundoDeportivo: @RealSociedad are keen on signing Nacho Monreal and are prepared to offer him a relatively long-term contract but with lower wages than his current. Nacho is happy at the Emirates Stadium and Unai counts on him. However, he would be open to leave for a satisfactory offer.

Saw talk of MU supposedly tabling an offer of 62m for PEA, and of PEA supposedly being open to the idea following reports of MU's interest earlier in the summer.

My first reaction was to say GTFO but then I thought that he's 30 before the end of the season and relies upon his pace and space, let alone that the money could be put to use to address other issues elsewhere in the team. As such my big concern would be potentially strengthening a direct rival for top4, but then I remembered that MU is probably in worse shape than us on and off the pitch.

No. Let’s ride PEA to the end. His instinct for goal is of such an elite quality that we will struggle to find better. The play you want is to trade Lacazette for younger. His primary trait is workrate. You can coach that.

If that was true then why doesn't Auba have his work rate.

Lacazette continues to get no love here. People act like hes just some shithouse workhorse when his ability on the ball tenacity and physicality are all better than PEA's. Pretty sure his goals won us more points last season than Aubas too. We shouldn't sell either unless an absurd offer comes in, build around them and bench one of them if they're in poor form which happened plenty of times, play both in games where we can afford it.

This is my preference unless someone makes an offer we can't refuse for either - and I don't mean 50m = it needs to be something akin to the 80m for Zaha, particularly if it is Lacazette.

PEA may be the better 'pure' goal scorer but IMO Lacazette has the better all round game as CF.

TBH I'm encouraged by PEA's impact v Bayern as RWF, and hope that this may indicate the way forward.

If we insist on playing both at the same time then that's the only way I'd like to see it done.

I really hope Laca can start to find grass to run on instead of the quicksand he's so fond of this season.

At his age Bielik can afford to go backwards in order to move forward.
Monreal, at the tail end of his career, has to hold onto everything he has got so he is never going to accept a lower wage even with the carrot of playing at home.
