Seems reasonable for the kid to sign a new contract, then go and play at the highest level he manages to find a club at and then see where he's at next summer. If not, and with 2 years left, then we sell this summer and hopefully cash in on the fact that a daft club like Milan will overpay because he's flavour of the month after a decent Euros.

Based on what I saw this summer, this guy is not ready for big time. If that fool Gazidis is going to take the chance, then that’s great but the balance of the list of clubs above feels more appropriate.

Somehow over the summer, Bielik has gone from League 1 trainee to second coming of Sol Campbell. Let’s see more evidence at a higher level.

Brighton could be another good move maybe, see if he's actually ready for Premier League. They're probably bad enough to take a punt on him despite his lack of experience, and they've got a manager in Potter this season who'll do good work with him. Worst case scenario is that he doesn't play much, but that would just confirm that he's not ready and/or good enough.

I'm happy to go with your judgement that he won't make it here as Emery who sees him first hand seems to think the same.
That being the case, i'm simply saying what's good for Arsenal is not necessarily the best option for Bielik with him looking at the divergent career paths of Joel Campbell and Gnabry. Also financially, whatever contract we offer him is never going to match what a club getting him on the cheap will pay.

It’s a huge jump from the Championship to Premier League, never mind from League One. He would needed to have been utterly dominant to show he was ready for Premier League football.

I never interpreted his words as a desire to leave Arsenal, just to take that next step towards higher level senior football. A good loan at a lower end Premier League club or one at a decent standard on the continent would do great. We can’t lose out as long as we tie him into a new contract, and that shouldn’t be an issue as long as we can come to some sort of gentleman’s agreement that we’d let him move on for a reasonable price if it didn’t work out.

Bielik himself said he considers the Championship the "5th best league in Europe."

I'm pretty sure he'd relish a loan there with a good team. Although, if a Premier League club wanted to take a risk and promised they'd have to balls to play him if he deserved it, that would be great too.

He's not that far off TBH. Its very competitive and the teams come up to the Premiership usually stay there for a while.

Rennes have moved ahead of Bordeaux in the race for Koscielny. Rennes have offered a 2yr contract and a salary, that appeals to Koscielny. Agreeing a fee wit Arsenal remains the obstacle. [@pierrexgarnier-some jurno from Rennes]

If we can conclude Tierney deal, then sell Monreal. Not a fan of Kolasinic, but we can deal with it the following season as we have other priorities.

Even Koscielny, I think we should cash in now. Great servant to the club, but don't think he'll cope with another full PL season. If he's around, we'll end up relying on him far too much with diminishing returns. It's why I'd prefer to keep Chambers with the squad at least until Saliba joins.

Never mind about a 34 year old Kos who has been nothing but loyal to us during all his best years when he could easily have played for bigger clubs and won a ton of trophies. To be fair, people would question why he wasn't there.

The blame lies entirely on Kos with this one. Bit of a shame he's behaved like this.

'No comment' works fine for questions about whereabouts.

By all accounts Koscielny has been told that he's not going to start next season, and as a consequence wants to leave. The club refuses to let him go and have a few final years in France before retirement. That's not all on Kos. That's Arsenal behaving disgracefully towards the only member in the entire squad who has shown us real love and loyalty through the last decade. And now we choose to chide him publicly because they're having this argument internally. Fucking hell, what a bunch of cunts that run this club.
