Nah we dont have the luxury to keep him as backup. The fee he'll generate can be put into a starter if we don't shit the bed again in the market. He's not good enough to play midfield and badly lacks aggression for centre back too, even if he's not the worst player he shouldn't have a role here

Not sure about reasonably low wages either. He extended his contract like two or three times in the last 18 months and came initially for 16m from Southampton ie not on academy wages either. We will 300% regret it if we don't sell him now while theres some interest in the market

For £14m we'd be doing well to get a player as good as Chambers TBH, we shouldn't sell him if he's under valued on the market.

If he was worth that he would be good enough to start for us. He's shit, but he's English, so we should get around 18-20m. Normally 14m would be paying over the top for him (minus English premium tax).

I really hope Kos stays, despite everything. He's old and busted and still our best centreback by a mile. I don't think there's anyone in the dressing room anymore who really gives a shit about the club besides him either.

the lack of credible mustafi/xhaka out rumors is really dispiriting to me. going to be tough for me to get excited about next season if both of those guys are still here in starting roles

We are never getting buyers for our overpaid players so simply assume the contract end dates as their leaving dates and neutralise the stress.
One more year for Jenks;
2 years for Mustafi, Ozil and Mkhi;
3 years for [size=small][font=Arial Black]محمد النني[/font][/size];
4 years for Xhaka.
