I’m with Jones here. We need to give the manager a chance. This impatient football manager approach doesn’t work in real life. There are so many moving parts here. We need to work through each of them one by one, and I would help to hold something constant, in this instance the manager. Let him build out his vision and get the players he believes in
I’m not going to be out here cheerleading for retaining Ozil and Ramsey and dumping the manager, when clearly there are much bigger challenges in the former than the latter. Let Emery build a fit-for-purpose team
It has for CFC, however that said I agree that we should not sack the manager unless he has failed to deliver as required by the terms of his employment. As it stands I'm pretty sure we will be gearing up to go again with Emery and the twin pronged targets of PL tand Europa, except I expect Emery will be under no illusions that if we find ourselves in a similar position that all resources will be directed at the PL first and foremost.
You should not need to point that out to Emery. Anyone with a brain could have seen that with our last 6 games, it was in our hands, and that the league should have been the priority, not trotting out Elneny and Jenkinson against Palace.
We will see what is said over the summer, not the first time we have heard that players do not respect him, let us see what the summer brings.
A clear out is needed anyway, far too many players on big money, producing far too little.
My only issue is, Emery was touted as a guy who works with the players he has got, as in his previous clubs he never had a say, yet now all of a sudden, he needs his particular type of player to succeed.
