He's worse than Xhaka and for that reason you are right, sell him. Give Guendouzi and AMN more minutes. Sick of players like Elneny and Welbeck blocking young talented prospects.

I rate Elneny higher than Xhaka, as he is far more composed, but he has a limited ceiling. I would rather AMN provide a more dynamic option in CM than either of those two, but with Elneny seemingly behind Xhaka in the starting line up, might as well sell him. However, I'm sure someone posted an article recently about a commercial tie up with an Egyptian bank so would seem a bit weird if we did turn around and sell Elneny now.

I would’ve expected El Neny to start next to Xhaka against City. I don’t like Xhaka but Guendouzi had a lot of high impact errors on Sunday. He was too slow on the first goal. And that wild kick set Aguero free for what should’ve been an easy goal or assist for Dr Bruyne, etc. I think we excuse it because he is a kid, but in the final analysis, this is a Premier League game and expectations should be the same. He played his heart out but he was making the types of errors we crucify Xhaka and Mustafi for all the time, 2 or 3 times in a massive game. El Neny-Xhaka would’ve worked fine for me. El Neny is not exciting but nor is he prone to high risk maneuvers.

Heard that Ramsey has no real suitors in england, let alone europe this window. All of them are probably waiting for him to run down his contract as he is not worth the money we might demand for.

Considering Xhaka was one of the last players to return to the club but started ahead of the likes of Torreira after less time, I'd want to see how he goes when paired with Torreira considering the latter has such a big rep in regards to his tactical smarts.

Elneny may not be high risk but he does less defensive work than all the alternative options. He avoids high profile defensive mistakes by not getting back so when we concede the player closest to the scorers gets a bollocking here and its never Elneny.

I think we should sell Elneny while we can. It may come as a short term cost, but honestly Ramsey, Torreira, Guendouzi and Xhaka isn’t the worst midfield quartet and then you have AMN too who hopefully isn’t out for long. We’d probably be forced to play Ozil at 10 more often but I don’t think that’s a bad thing.

I don't think we can / should count Ramsey as anything other than a potential sale unless he signs a new deal.
I'd certainly not make any plans based upon him remaining beyond Jan.

If Ramsey goes in January (or this month) we need to sign someone in January to replace him. It'd be too big a hole in the squad to ignore.

So pointless. Why would we give them a player basically for free (Twitter says we get a €1M loan fee) for a year? They're got plenty of cash from the Jorginho sale.

Don't necessarily think it is a bad thing if players view Arsenal as trying to be reasonable when it comes to players moving clubs. In this case we are also talking about very little money, from the club's perspective.
