If we’re selling Iwobi I’d imagine it would be to bring someone else in.

I don't know. At one point he looked like the best young player in the league. I'm thinking it might be premature to sell him, although he's far from a sure thing.

Lol. Can’t make the Nigerian National team starting lineup. 20m could be a fair deal if we are funding a Coman type. We need to keep upgrading the squad. Can’t have tons of question marks.

His productivity for a player who's played usually in the front 3 for us is pathetic.

His work rate many times is questionable and he barely creates chances let alone assists.

Has no business being here.

I'm not good with years, but the beginning of his breakthrough season. Then he faded badly.

20 million is very good money. I like Iwobi but I'd take that offer, maybe with a clause attached that gives us a percentage when he's sold again.

5 assists and 3 goals in 22 starts for a 21yr old in a largely dysfunctional attack really isn't bad at all never mind pathetic. Would only take a marginal improvement to be matching the figures of more established PL forwards.

Arsenal fans seem to have some warped ideas about the sort of output young players should have. Not everyone is a Fabregas.

Indeed, United persisted with Lingard for a lot longer and it was only at 25 when he started delivering more consistently. Iwobi and Lingard may never become elite but they're pretty good players to have around.

Obviously if we get a tidy sum for him then I'm not against cashing in so that we can upgrade but players peak at different stages and judging the output of our players at Arsenal over the past couple of years is unfair.

Exactly, he doesn't need to be a world beater, certainly not at 21.

For context, a 21 yr old Sterling got 6 goals and 2 assists in his first season for City in 23 starts, that improved to 7 & 6 the following season, 18 and 11 last season. Who knew players improve output with age.
