We have enough to win the Europa League even if we sell Giroud. But why would we help Chelsea stay ahead of us in the league. They went three straight games without scoring in the league for the first time in the Financial Doping era. We should seize on that weakness. Let them continue to struggle to make things work with Morata.

This is the time to be ruthless and ignore the little boy in Giroud. Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs are all in play right now. We need to increase our options for stumbling into 4th.

Enough to win the Europa League? Sure we could win it but we aren't the best team in it IMO and no way should we be weakening our team further if we are really serious about winning it. Lacazette is basically the only striker/goalscorer we could use in that competition if these Giroud rumours are true.

It’s helfpul context. I think too often people assume these transfers are as simple as Gazidis paying up 60m pounds and walking out the door. Clearly this has been a very busy week for all involved with phones constantly working and spreadsheets being updated. Hopefully, something works out! Fingers crossed.

Depends some go through straightforward whilst others take longer due to over complicating things or making errors. I think it’s more to do with experience and how willing you are to getting the player.

I think the only thing that makes these transfers less complicated is dropping millions in premiums on top. See City and Laporte. It’s a game we can’t play.

😆 I have vastly superior strains in my setup than selling Giroud to Chelsea. Looks like Olly's off though, sadly.
