Surprised to learn that Oblak is Slovenian, which means they have him and Handanović to choose from. Not bad.

How frustrating must it be though knowing how well stocked they are on quality in goal while having very little of it elsewhere.

Good shout, Trapp is second only to Neuer in Germany, talent wise I'd actually list him on par with the likes of De Gea or Courtois.

Valdes had a number of high profile fuck ups, especially during that run from 2011-2013 where he seemed to drop a clanger in every clasico. He was a great prospect in his earlier years (had a good game against us in 2006 too) who never seemed to realise his full talent because of the frequent mistakes. He then had an insane last season at Barcelona where he was Europe's best GK imo. Tough luck with the injury, I hope (and think) his former shit version turns up at United when De Gea fucks off.

ok then my opinion of him is based on that last season at barca. prolly skewed that's why, but that season he was seriously impressive. if he reverts to a shit version at man u, cool.

Great signing if true, exactly the type of player we need at the back. Think he could easily give us good 5 years and in that time we can find a suitable replacement.

The BBC are reporting that his agent has confirmed Chelsea have given him permission to speak to other clubs.

Don't agree that he has lost it. Not at his peak before injury but still a lot better than most keepers. Unless Chelsea had Courtois they wouldn't entertain the thought of selling him. Mourinho has quite clearly stated he doesn't want him to stay in this country but this goes above him. Talk is Abramovich understands Cech's situation and after giving 10 years to the club is happy to let him go wherever he sees fit. Mourinho has already hinted at that in recent press conferences.

I want a keeper who is better than our current keepers and Cech quite clearly is. Experienced in this league and I think he would be a great addition to our first XI.

Cech could be the best keeper in the League next year at Arsenal. If he's still got it, and at only 32 why wouldn't he have? he'll be desperate to show it.

Because Jose may come across as some all powerful being, but in reality he's Abramovich little bitch and will shut up and do as he is told, or he'll get sacked again.

We know the Retarded one doesn't have a shred of decency in him, but maybe, just maybe, Abramovich thinks Cech's earnt the right to move to the club that suits him best.

Think it's been a while since Cech was at his best but he's a clear step up from what we have. Maybe he could have a late career similar to van der Sar at United and give us 4-5 really good years.
