Chelsea won the league with 87 points, Falcao is coming in on loan and Jose has said they are looking for a midfeilder and a defender and we are getting excited because we are signing Cech?
I know it's early days but this is not a game changer, where are the goals coming from?
How is one related to the other? Cech will improve us far more than 4 goal Falcao will improve Chelsea who already have a far better player in that position. We're imroving our first XI and they're adding some depth.
As someone who advocates increasing the level of our first team in favour of depth and padding, I'm surprised to see you taking this stance.
It seems excitement over the signing is preventing you from understanding what I am saying. Petr Cech is not going to win us the league and so while I welcome his arrival (as I have stated many times he is an improvement) HE IS NOT THE GAME CHANGER.
Unless Cech is part of a significant overhaul, we'll be here next summer discussing (as usual) what we need to win the league like we do every summer.
If we win the league next season it will be because we reinforced our attacking positions, if we don't than all Cech would have done is consolidate 3rd/4th from the chasing pack.
There is a difference between saying the addition of Cech will not win us the league and Cech is not wanted. What I said is one thing, what you hear depends on your bias.
Transfer season is just opened but so long as Giroud, Theo, Wilshere and Ramsey are constants in our attack, we aren't going anywhere, so you might as well save the Cech money.
