Well given we have threads for Pool, Utd and Spurs we can surely have one for City.

Think if we aren't winners than they are the team I prefer that wins league/cups.

Can't stand any of Utd, Spurs, Chelsea and Pool while City always gives us decent money for players that never turn out that good.

Seems they need to re-build majorly. They've wasted so much money in substandard signings that they could've used for better ones.

It seems they still haven't learned the lessons of 2012/13 summer when they brought 4 substandard players while not coughing up the dough for Robin.

The amount of money on Mangala was baffling. They could have signed any defender with that money.

They don't need a rebuild - they just need to sign Gareth bale

Dunno if they merit "a lets all laugh at" thread Gunner, Tottenham I have feelings about Man Utd I have feelings about but that lot are just a plastic manufactured team they don't really exist.

What about Chelsea? Do you have feelings for them?

Nope, thats just a running joke here by people who can't admit to themselves that Mourinho is a better manager than Wenger.

Maybe re-re-re-re-building man city as this is already the 3rd incarnation of the sheikh team.

Chelsea were the first plastic manufactured team to ruin this league and justly deserves more scorn for that reason. They also have an infinitely more hateable manager and squad compared to City. They're a London team as well.

As if that wasn't enough, I lived in Mitcham for the two worst years of my life. At a glance, the place looks quite nice, and it probably was at one point in history. There's a bit of a village feel to it and it's got a cricket green in the center of town ffs. But while I lived there, my house got burgled twice, the manager at the local branch of Peacocks got decapitated and there was a stabbing outside the post office on a Wednesday morning. I ended up in a bar fight alone against 3 lokal pikeys (of which there are many) - went quite well for a while until I got bludgeoned repeatedly over the head with the karaoke DJ's amplifier.

But yeah, that place is filled to the brim with your typical Chelsea supporters. Violent, disgusting, racist, chav scum of the absolute worst kind. I disliked Chelsea before I moved there, but I really started hating them with a passion when I lived there.

Reckon they'll struggle to have the clear out they supposedly want to have. One of the problems with massively overpaying your players.

Didn't we give yoh a thread to worship Mourinho in? Keep it in there, this is about City.

I don't think the City squad is that bad. It's just been a season when their usual key players like Kompany and Toure have under performed massively. I do agree that they've invested poorly though. Players like Mangala and Fernando cost them a lot of money for very little return.

They'll sign one or two big names in the summer and they'll challenge again next season. Don't think a 'rebuild' is required. Pellegrini will not be there though.

Yep. The only players they'll move on easily are the useful mid price ones like Milner. Its the price they'll pay for buying the two titles they have now. I wonder will we see some suspicious fees for their cast offs like we have with Chelsea.

Also paying the price of completely neglecting youth.

Milner would be easy to move since he's on a free this summer.

I feel that the title of this thread is far too chummy and charitable .

Honestly don't get why we are discussing rebuilding Mancity in an Arsenal forum.

If they add Bale/Sterling, Pogba, and a CB (still baffled by the Nastasic sale) they'll be fine.

Offload some high earners and shitsters.

Yup, all they need to do is buy a whole new world class spine to the team, beating out competition from Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG, Chelsea etc. in the process while convincing top clubs to sell their star players. Then they will indeed be fine.

Might've bought a title but Pellegrini's lack of forward planning has been incredibly bad/selfish on his part.

Don't think there is anything wrong with his planning tbh. Still think Bony, Mangala and Fernando will prove useful signings. Their main problems for me is that Aguero is in a poor run of form and has been injured for quite a bit this season, and that Yaya Toure looks as if age has caught up with him. Fast. If you also add that Kompany has been pretty useless for well over a year, then this is what you get. Those players aren't easily replaceable either. Seems as if every top club is looking for a class CB, Yaya is unique, and Aguero is one of the very best, but injury prone.

Personally, I think they desperately need a creative central midfielder more than anything. As soon as Yaya is missing or having an off day, which has been a frequent occurrence this season, they look totally bereft of ideas.

Screw them. Wish Liverpool had the wherewithal to pass them. City are in a much more tenuous position than United. A year out of Champs League would leave them less alluring to potential recruits. We should sell them Welbeck for 30m pounds. They need Englishmen, don't they?
