He practices three times a week with the first team. That is more beneficial to his development than playing a few games in the Spanish third division. He'll be fine. If he becomes good enough to actually get into the first team squad permanently is another question completely.
The problem with Castilla is that it's a second team. The players there don't play to win, or do what's best for the team. They try to do something special so that they'll get the chance for the first team. Being a playmaker for a team like that must be horrible. As Rex says though, the benefits from training with the first team outweighs this.

Wenger wouldn't compete with Chelsea on a player like Schneiderlin. He'll find someone 75% as good for half the cash, or just go with what we've got and aim at a central defender instead. Rightly so in my opinion.
Schneiderlin won't go there, don't worry. He would definitely prefer coming here for game time.
He hasn't found a DM in years and Coquelins 3-4 good months doesn't mean by any means he'll keep this up. You've been quite open with wanting a CB but the reality is that we have 4 players who are primarily CB's and Chambers won't be playing much at RB anymore. Unless you think Wenger's going to sell Mertesacker/Koscielny then a CB is a non-starter. By going into a season with what we've got we gamble on Coquelin maintaining this and Flamini/Arteta as backups.

He's not gonna dwell as he's not interested in the first place. We're not paying 30M for this guy as he's worth around half of that. Coq is already better, too. We need an all around world class CM, not an overhyped limited one.
Yeah right I forgot the Sociedad season ticket holder will remind us again how every DM is better than Morgan Scheiderlin.
