But in what way is Bertolacci and Adriano better than what they have? I can see how Bacca might be, going by his goal record at least, but the other two aren't going to earn them any points. Bertolacci is the signing that is closest to making sense because he's only 24, but how is it a good idea to spend €20 million on him?
Assuming Bacca is first choice, Adriano is a great backup for him. Don't get fooled by that old video of him missing some open goals, he has improved since then and have a good scoring record. Who else have they got? Matri is shit, Honda, El Shaarawy and Menez is better playing off a striker. Niang is still too raw.
Bertolacci is a solid signing, maybe not for 20m but they surely need someone reliable in midfield? All their other options in midfield is either too old, or unreliable. This is a good start for them to improve their squad, maybe not as impressive as Inter's buys but better than the past few seasons.
